An open house meeting is scheduled for next week to discuss the reconstruction of the Factory Road bridge.

The City of Beavercreek’s Engineering Division and Ohio Department of Transportation will be present. The meeting is from 5 to 7 p.m. on Nov. 2 in the council chambers at Beavercreek City Hall, 1368 Research Park Drive.

The meeting is open-house style and people can come any time between 5 to 7 p.m. The meeting will discuss the project and proposed enhancements, take input from the community and address any questions. Anyone who may need special assistance can call 937-427-5513 by Thursday.

The reconstruction project includes a new bridge spanning Little Beaver Creek as well as an additional lane of traffic sidewalks on both sides. It aims to address traffic congestion and flooding risks and also accommodate pedestrians.

The city plans to obtain the additional right-of-way needed for the construction of the new bridge next year. Construction is planned to begin during the summer of 2025. The city hopes to plan the closure of Factory Road with the summer break to minimize disruptions.
